Thank You Marine Camp 2012 Volunteers!

Marine Camp 2012 came to an end last week and while we’re all still recuperating from nine weeks of camp, we wanted to take some time to thank all of the volunteers who helped us out this summer.

This year we had both returning and new volunteers who helped the instructors with the check-in and check-out process, to supervise the campers both on and off site, helped keep the facilities at MSI clean and most importantly helped with lunch and snack times.

With over 35 volunteers, we appreciate all of their help with the thousands of campers that attended Marine Camp throughout the summer. They helped to make this year a huge success and we hope to see many of them again next year!

For those who are interested in volunteering at MSI, but didn’t get a chance to during the summer, we have some more opportunities coming up throughout the remainder of the year including volunteering as an aquarium assistant, gathering fish data and many other opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Aaron Tinker at 650-364-2760, ext.16 or email him at aaron@sfbaymsi.org. You can also visit our volunteer page on our website for more information.

We’re also looking for anyone who loves taking pictures and would love to join MSI on a member event to take photos throughout the event. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer photographer please contact: Hayley Usedom at hayley@sfbaymsi.org or call 650-364-2760 ext. 21.

Once again we’d like to thank all the volunteers who made this summer such a huge success!
